foul mood

this morning i took the same lift as usual to work..except todae feeling super lousy.
me and another colleague working on the same floor (but i dunno who she is as usual but saw once or twice) went in.
sometimes there will be last min pple who make a 100m sprint towards the lift just when the door is about to close.
todae there was.
feeling sour already..i couldn't be bothered to lift my hand to open the door. tot the colleague in the lift would press the door open for the sprinter. BUt she din..she pressed close instead.
so i decided to punch 'open' at the same time i saw the sprinter lunge towards the outside lift door button.
she managed to get in.. looking sour too. without a word of thanks. they tot they managed to come in bcos they sprinted.

after the sprinter got to her destination floor..there was only me and the colleague left again. she gave me a smile..which i could not decipher was a sheepish smile or a frenly smile. i give her the benefit of the doubt..and i returned with a weak smile. Sorry to the colleague..whoever u might be. i tink i look a tad dao. but i was feeling in aboslutely too trashy a mood to want to look frenly.

that crazy little thing i do...

First. i wanted to chup tickets for my long anticipated movie by booking in advance at cathay. Searched thru' the whole pile of timeslots online...but seems like none of them is going to be shown at my favourite The Grand Cathay theatre. U noe..the biggest theatre inside the cathay cineplex at dhoby ghaut..and has 8seats by the side instead of the usual 2 or 4.

so i waited... and surfed... and then i came upon the gv website..where i found this. And this was the deal:
1 Pair of gold class tickets
2 Sets of french dinners (soup, main, dessert, drink)
Freebie john little shopper bag

Sounded amazing doesn't it? watch your food on screen..and get to eat them too..haha. and the most amazing thingy? 120 shining dollars!
so i was considering..hehe. But tat time they only had the sat timeslot which was apparently sold out liao! HuH?? u mean there were so many more remy-fans than me out there?
anywaez..the next dae i went back to gv website again..and wahaha..they added a sun timeslot. Woah~
after discussing with my trusty movie-partner who surprisingly din mind going..yesh tat crazy thing i do was to go and book the tics. yesh okie...it was kinda ex..but some pple spend even more money on their food alone rite. Yay!! then i realised..how come they removed the words about the freebie bag?! tat was one of the reasons why i booked it! emailed gv..and they replied a few daes later tat they are gonna replace it with other premiums. haiz. my bag. no doubt this sounds ex to u...but when i went back to the gv website again todae..all the tics were sold out liao! after 3daes only...wah.

And then?
just received an email that i won tickets for the movie preview from a contest i saw on the today newspaper. to tink tat i won the tics after i just bought the ex gold class ones!! i guess it's just my fate with the show..Muahahaha... oh well..i can give the tics to my sis. and yay* i haven't won anything for a long time liao.. >pleased<

the little things in life...

some small things are hard to come by...but good to find.

---Snailey--- regretfully tho...i stepped on one of his fellow mates once.
on dat dreadful nite... i ought to have kept my eyes on my pavement... but i din.
*crr-ack...crum---ble...splat" the sound was unmistakably snail-like. can't be a fruit dat i stepped on.
and no matter how remorseful i am...it was already flattened to a pulp..
so the moral of the story is that we Must always keep our eyes on the pavements near the pavilion..and the jogging tracks...esp at nite! they just like to walk around too much...even tho' they are slooooow....

anywae..i spotted snailey while he was out on his morning exercise routine.. a walk around the pavement before returning to his homely grassss.....
as goes the saying...凡走过 必留下足迹...hehee...

I promised my fren i shall help her do some advertising for her newly opened online shopping website. MUAK. Urm..okie maybe only a handful patronising souls read my website..but who noes..maybe Some rich taitai might chance upon this and decide to snap up all their stuff!

And in the true spirit of online shopping..here's my own review of the website first..heheh~

Bags and accessories are their main feature for the time being. set in a comfy pinky wallpapered background...it's pleasing on the eyes..and the options are simple and clearcut. pics of the goods are displayed neatly and i Like this. hate it when pics and words are all over the place... Personally i like the bags..they are sweet and cute..and more so bcos i like floral stuff. haha. Although it might be a good idea to show suggestions on wat kinda clothes match the bags..so tat customers can find out more waes to carry off the stuff? for now..good start..and may your business 蒸蒸日上.

all i wanted was a simple innocent job. get my hay(hair) rebonded and trimmed.
first i made an appt with the salon..only to find out tat my usual hairdresser had left.
UrghZ. and i dun even noe where she went.
Still made an appt bcos i had my hair package with the salon..no choice.

Went down to the salon...and met the new hairdresser. Looks fine altho her fingers smelt cigarettey. i tink i liked my previous hairdresser cos she always looked fashionably nice. it feels safer to leave my hay in the hands of one who looks good herself.
but nm...shes gone liao..wat can i sae.
so tried to exchange a rebond with my existing package so i dun have to pay any $$$. managed to strike a deal..dunno good or bad i just want to strike the deal and get my hair done.
and the other girl who promotes packages...comes and psycho me.
yep..wats new rite.
said tat i din strike a good deal with the hairdresser...cos she could have given me this and tat instead. but not v nice to sae in front of hairdresser cos hairdresser will earn less. said she dropped me hints liao. HUH.
so she saes she owes me a favour and will give me an free additional treatment. duhz. like i haven't heard enough of such stories.
then tries to butter me up by ranting about my cute cheeks (which i found irritating after i've heard it from her for at least 10 times)
finally she reaches the true topic...something about trading my remaining 4 turns and top up a bit more (the figure wasn't like a bit more to me lor) and get 20more turns. i din really listen.
she rattles on.
and starts to whine about how long i haven't come to the salon.
i reply flatly "need to work...dun work how to give u money"
she rattles on while i concentrate on my magazines.

felt miserable cos the assistant was tugging my hair real hard when she was kiapping my hair. and insisted tat i dun move my head. i noe the physics phrase: action and reaction. but did she expect me to use the same force to pull my head in the opposite direction to her kiappers? i dun wanna end up looking like charlie brown. =(
and then the haircut was only a few snippets which cost like 20packets of rice?! and i just realised tat the wae they added up the rebond+haircut...actually they din give me any discount at all. they just blow up the figures to their advantage. cheaters.
i promise my hair i'll find a nicer hairdresser for u.

yummy+fond memories

Some time ago...my fren A brought me to one of her fav ice-cream shops at wheelock place...
Tucked into the wall between 2 major restaurants was a small icecream stall.

Both of us shared a double-scoop cup: green tea and lychee sorbet.
YummY!! *slurp*
Green tea had a great blend of green tea bitter and creamy sweetness. Lychee sorbet was nicely light with fresh bits of lychee flesh inside. The 2 made a good combo.
yesh i noe i hardly compliment food. AND now i'm actually describing them as tho i'm a food host!?! >groanz..wat is happening<

So yesterdae when yx suggested ice-cream after dinner (yesh he hardly mentions icecream)..i decided tat i had to show him THIS shop.
Boring me ordered my 2scoop cone green tea and lychee sorbet again ^greedy^
yx had a 2scoop chocolate banana and mango.
everything was pleasant overall..altho i still preferred my good ol' combination..hehe.

Decided to find out if it had its own website. It did! haato
And then i was reading its history...said it was formerly known as Gelato di Crema at Liang Court.
OH!
Flashbacks of me hanging around a Gelato-something icecream stall outside the then Daimaru supermarket at Liang Court when i was still a kid. And I would order the watermelon sorbet icecream diligently every week when i tagged along with my parents on their weekend trip to the supermarket. after we shifted house..we hardly went back to liang court for grocery shopping..and i soon forgot about my fav gelato icecream...my hunch tells me that the Gelato they wrote in their website..must be the gelato i knew so well when i was young..hehe.
now it's all coming back to me..fond memories of my childhood. yumyum
